Walking on the Leading Edge #7- Evolutionary Leaps of Faith Continue…

Surrendering to my future by letting go of my past, was exhilarating, exciting and scary at the same time. Decision-making has never been one of my strengths. For me life is a smorgasbord, the sampler platter. My personality type likes to keep options open so I can experience it all. However, I continue to learn and trust through trial and error life experience that focusing on one choice is deeper, richer and often more fulfilling.  I sometimes feel that saying no to a choice means losing something else. In reality saying no to one thing is an opening, a yes to another opportunity. Following my heart and listening to my intuitive knowing, my gut feeling and inner voice have always led me in the right direction. The challenge and discipline is to quiet and observe the mind that has it’s opinions, concerns, fears, what ifs?!

A heart centered journey connects the dots of Spirit, Divine co-creation and our own free will. Aligning my free will with my Divine will, my Higher, wiser Self  is what I was, and continue to commit to. Cultivating the EDGEWALKER qualities of Sensing the Future and Risk Taking are a powerful team in supporting me in “Aligning with the Divine”.

This awareness, drawing on my sense of adventure and allowing the signs of Spirit to guide me, supported me in taking the next step on my Edgewalker Journey. As I was sitting on the beach in beautiful Kauai in 2007 getting ready to fly back to the Big Island I still questioned if I was doing the right thing. Not knowing what was coming next was a big “leap of faith”.  It was difficult to ignore the signs – the open door invitation to return to the Big Island to visit my ohana (Hawaiian friends/family) and house sit for the Summer months on the beautiful Kohala sanctuary. I stepped into it willingly though with some reluctance, feeling gratitude for the grace and synchronicity that orchestrated my next step.

Being guided all the way with no specific plan but the one designed by the Universe, I stepped onto the “magic carpet” ride called “my life”, holding tight but with an open heart and mind. The adventure continues…

*Lessons:

*To make decisions guided by your intuition take time to quiet the mind, be the conscious observer, notice the mind chatter. Get grounded and connect with your body, your gut feeling.

*Have the courage to trust and make the commitment to honor what you feel, even if your mind disagrees or goes into fear. Say to the mind chatter Thank you for sharing” and turn your focus on your deeper knowing, heart and gut.

* Your life can be a “magic carpet” ride of Divine flow and direction, with ease and grace. It is a choice. Be open to letting go of the familiar. With curiosity, explore a new way for a new outcome.

Walking on the Leading Edge #6- Delays, Detours, Deepening / Future to Past

Aloha! Welcome back to my Edgewalker blog and evolutionary leaps of faith! Thank you for your patience and joining me again on my journey. “Life is what happens when we are busy making other plans,” said the legendary John Lennon. Many of you have been following me since I began this blog many months ago. I had it all planned how and when I would write and organize my blog. However, I continue to learn the lesson that I/we are not in control and Divine Timing has a “Mind” of it’s own!

In April 2017 a major life event and transitions that were not planned resulted in my taking a 2 month break from my blog.  I am excited to share this future/present story with you now that will take us back to the past in my upcoming blog posts.

My big news is I got married on Maui April 1, 2017 to my love and best friend Italian artist Dario Campanile. We met April 6, 2012 at our mutual friend’s beach wedding on Maui. Five years later almost to the day we got “Mauied” on the same exact beach we met, with the same friend’s present. This was not planned and a last minute decision. Even though we have been together for 5 years and engaged for 2, when and where we would marry was never clear due to our traveling and life transitions. We waited together for the CEO moment, when it would be made Clear, Easy & Obvious for our sacred marriage. Synchronistically my Mother from NY was visiting us in Maui where we were living for the Winter months. At the same time the friends whose wedding we met at were visiting Maui from their home in California. Maui brought us together and we knew we wanted a small Hawaiian ceremony with those exact people present!

Dario and I have learned to trust the signs and realize there are no accidents. We took a leap of faith and knew the time was right for us to marry. So within a few short weeks every detail necessary to have a beautiful sunset wedding on Maui was handled with ease including the availability of Lei’ohu Ryder, the Hawaiian minister to facilitate our sacred ceremony. I always carried the intention in my heart since I began this Edgewalker journey in 2007 to meet my Divine Complement & Spiritual Partner.  The emotional, spiritual, mental and physical deepening and healing that I needed over the past 10 years to attract my husband was an evolution in how I love myself, my Higher Self and my intimate partner. This leap of faith brought me to the magical moment of spiritual union that was greater than I ever imagined.  Even being locked out of my computer due to a possible hacking during my Mexico honeymoon, transitioning to my married name Campanile and travels to mainland USA , supported me in being more present and available to love and be loved, to have the right partner and BE the right partner.

In blog post #7  next week I will continue to share my journey beginning in 2007 that led me to my Maui wedding 10 years later in 2017.  Mahalo (thank you) for joining me!  My heartfelt gratitude to the Universe for the Delays, Detours, and Deepening!

Lessons:

*Delays, Detours and Deepening support us in our Highest Good (regardless of how things may look and feel) if we only let go, trust, surrender, allow.

*Love of God/Universe, Love of Self, Love of Another/Others (in that order!)

*You are worth it! Believe, have faith. Remember every NO creates the space for a greater YES!

Walking on the Leading Edge #4 – Evolutionary Leaps of Faith

In the Hawaiian culture ‘ohana means family, including blood relatives, extended family and intentional community. The concept of ohana emphasizes that families are bound together and members must cooperate and remember one another. I was about to connect with and learn from my Hawaiian spiritual family in magical, synchronistic ways!

After my dolphin swim I did not feel the same. My energy was expansive, open, willing. I was calm and more aware of my self and surroundings in a way I had never experienced before. In my curiosity and vulnerability I asked Life, The Universe, for a sign to guide and direct me to what, who, where was next.
I intentionally chose to cultivate my Edgewalker skill of Sensing the Future, staying open and expectant to the CEO (Clear, Easy, Obvious) response.

I randomly opened a book on Hawaiian health, healers and retreats. A photo of a man named Jim, looking very familiar, stared back at me. He was living on the northern side of the Big Island in a town called Hawi. As I read about his work as a global consultant speaker and retreat leader I realized I met him at a World Business Academy in Santa Barbara many years before. Coincidence? No, a Divine sign. I decided to contact him and he suggested we meet in Hawi.

As I was driving north to meet Jim I got a call on my cell phone from Bonnie, a good friend in Naples, Florida. She mentioned her dear friends Joel and Michele who lived part time on the Big Island and owned Kohala Sanctuary in Hawi. The Divine Timing of her call as I was driving to the same town to meet Jim was incredible. Jim and I met in a local coffee shop in Hawi and instantly connected, reflecting on the conference we both attended years ago. While at the coffee shop I also noticed a beautiful woman who I felt connected to yet did not have an opportunity to meet. Jim introduced me to Joel and Michele who were his neighbors at the Kohala Sanctuary. It was a magical moment, leading me to the next place on my journey.

Michele and Joel invited Jim and I to their 12 acre Kohala Sanctuary – paradise on earth! When I walked onto the deck of their home I noticed the beautiful woman Mayra from the coffee shop, my future soul sister from Austria, sitting there. It turns out she also knew them and was having a retreat on their land. As I stepped out to look at the breathtaking vista of the Pacific Ocean and acres of lush gardens of fruit, flowers and vegetables I remembered seeing this view in a vision months before I left Florida when I was on a labyrinth walk. At the time I set the intention to be guided on my Edgewalker Journey of the unknown to what is next in my life. This exact view was clearly shown to me at the time yet I had no way of knowing where it was or what it would mean to me in the future.

Tears were in my eyes and as I turned around to see the dear friends who were the beginning of my Hawaiian ohana, my heart and soul tribe – Jim, Joel, Michele, Mayra. “Welcome Home” they said. Michele and Joel shared they had been praying for someone to come and live in their house, dog sit and live on their property for the Summer months for free. “You are that person. Are you interested?”
This was not in my plan. My decision was unclear in that moment, however I was open, curious, excited and terrified! There is an expression “If you want to make God laugh, make plans.”

*Lessons:

*Set an intention and ask for what you want, even if you are not clear.
Say it out loud, write it down, act as if. Go for it and play big!

*Speak the Mantra – “THIS OR SOMETHING BETTER” after each prayer or intention. The Universe opens a bigger space and co-creates with you to fill in the blanks with creative solutions and abundant blessings.

*Prepare for the unexpected. Allow life to dazzle you with it’s magic and messages!
